Andrew Pellen

Andrew and his brother, Joseph, arrived in Farmington (St. Germain) in 1921. They built a resort extending along both Fawn Lake and Big St. Germain Lake  and named it Pellen's St. Germain Lakes Lodge. It is currently known as Wein's Resort and has been pretty much condoed.

Joseph Pellen

Walter Perk

Walter was a long-time resident of St. Germain, who owned and operated Perk's West Bay Resort. (Sisson's Resort) on Little St. Germain Lake.  He passed away and the resort was sold to John Armentrout.

George Phillips

Residency: Unknown

George was in real estate and operated St. Germain Realty for many years. He established the Indian Woods development on Hwy 155 and owned a considerable amount of land on Little St. Germain Lake.  He built and resided in what is still known as the "Phillips House."  This is on Hwy 70 between the AmericInn Fiasco Site and the St. Germain Car Wash.

Margaret was a daughter of John Sisson.  She was married to Max McQuire and they had one daughter, Sally.  Margaret later married George Phillips.

Ted is a son of Theodore, Sr. and Mary Pieniazek. He works in construction and lives in Sayner, WI.

Theodore Pieniazek, Sr.

Theodore and his wife, Mary, purchased Elbert's Resort on West Bay of Little St. Germain Lake from Herbert and   Elsie Brown in 1953.  They operated it for many years before selling it to John Davidson, who also kept the name as Elbert's Resort.

Martain Pietz

Martain Pietz owned and operated a resort on Little St. Germain Lake or many years.  He was also in real estate and built the small office building at the Jct 70 & 155 end of the mall. This building is no longer there.  He was an avid trout fisherman and loved to tell about going one particular opening morning.  It was still dark when he and his friend launched their boat on one of his favorite trout lakes.  They fished all morning without a single bite and decided to leave the lake at noon.  When they returned to the boat landing, they saw a sign stating that the lake had been poisoned for rehabilitation.

John Pluhar

Residency: 1883

 
Johnny moved here from Chicago in 1983.  He was well-known throughout St. Germain and bartended at the Arbor in Eagle River when he first come here.  He switched to Blink Bonnie Supper Club (Hubba Hubba) in St. Germain.  This gave him the nick name, "Blink Bonnie Johnny," which stayed with him even after he left Blink Bonnie's.  He then worked in construction for Waldmann Construction, then Schmidt Construction.

Edward Polinski

Ed was a brother to William Polinski, who built Northwoods Rest Motel. Ed purchased Max's Tavern and renamed it the Lake Aire Tavern next to his brother's motel.  The tavern eventually burned down and he rebuilt it as a supper club, retaining the name of Lake Aire.

Joan is a daughter of John Powell and a sister to Ruth Camp. She operates Greenwood Ranch Resort on Hwy 70, next to the Little St. Germain River.

Jerry Pruitt

Residency: 1975

 
Jerry purchased and operated Elbert's Resort in partnership with Jim Daniel on West Bay of Little St. Germain. Jim eventually left the partnership.  The resort's tavern was later badly damaged by fire, but was remodeled.  The resort was eventually split into condos, but Jerry continued to operate the tavern until it was sold in 2007. He currently lives in Florida.

Juanita is married to Jerry Pruitt and helped manage and operate Elbert's Resort and tavern.  She currently lives in Florida.
