Carl Yanke
Residency: Late-1960's
Carl purchased the Dutch Door (The Boxer)
and renamed it Carl's Dutch Door, which he operated until 1984
when he sold it to Carl Brent.
Yanke become a sort of hero to many residents during the "Mobile
Home That Beat the Town" incident. After he sold the
tavern, he moved to Arizona.

Chris Young
Residency: 1978
Chris is a son of Joe Young and
spent much time as area chef. He moved to Florida and lived
there for several years before moving back here. He is currently
working as a chef in this area.

Joseph Young
Residency: 1978
Joe purchased the Anchor Inn, which no longer exists, on Little
St. Germain Lake. He ran the Anchor Inn and its licensed beer
bar until 1984 when he sold it to Bob(Last name unknown). He
then purchased the Peacock which he
operated until 1995 when he sold it to
Cherie and Anna Anderson. He
then worked as a courier for Howard Young medical Center until
he retired.

Lyle Young
Residency: 1978
Lyle was an avid fisherman and his boat with "Lakes of the
North" on the sides was often seen on Big St. Germain (his
favorite lake). He was also an ardent and experienced bow
hunter. His first wife, Mary, passed away from cancer and, years
later, he married Elaine (Meyer)Young.
Date deceased: 1998
Cause of death: Heart problems
Interment: Cremated-Location of ashes are unknown (may have been
scattered on Big St. Germain Lake).
